A diz is used to remove carded sliver – similar to roving – from a drum carder or combs. Sliver removed from a drum carder will not be as compressed as roving and will spin and draft much easier.
Please note that each numbered diz in the drop-down list refers to 1 individual diz, while photo shows entire 7-diz set.
Size #1 refers to the diz with the smallest opening, Size #7 refers to the diz with the largest opening.
